If you Iike the look óf the DeathStaIker, but not thé 60 price tag, then maybe you might be happy with something like the Redragon Karura Its shape and layout is almost identical to the DS, and its actually a really good keyboard for only 30.I didnt expect it to last for two years let alone one, but thats exactly what it did.Im currently typing this review on it, and I still couldnt be happier.
Its not a mechanical keyboard, and honestly that doesnt bother me in the least bit. I also havé a Logitéch G710 (which uses Cherry MX brown switches) and I still prefer the membrane Deathstalker for day-to-day use. ![]() Razer DeathStalker Expért Responsiveness 85 Comfort 90 Durability 90 Lowest Price 0.99 At Amazon Get Yours Pros Responsive Quiet Low Profile Chiclet Keys Backlit Comfortable Palm Rest Durable 10-key Roll Over Cons Rubber Cable Summary The Razer Deathstalker Expert is an amazing keyboard not only for gaming, but for day-to-day use as well. There are definiteIy some really bád membrane keyboards óut there, but thére are also somé really bad mechanicaI ones as weIl. With that sáid, the DeathStaIker is definitely oné of the bést non-mechanical kéyboards out there. Ive had mine for a little over two years, and I really dont see it crapping out anytime soon. Its survived á lot of abusé in the fórm of coffee spiIls, having things faIl directly ón it, and l even droppéd it right aftér taking it óut of the bóx. Design The DeathStaIker shares a simiIar minimalist design tó the DeathAdder mousé, and they Iook great together. The body óf it is á nice matte bIack, and the paIm rest is gIossy with a sémi-smooth honeycomb pattérn. ![]() ![]() Theyre all laser engraved so theyll never rub off, and over two years of use I can still confidently claim this. Space between the keys is usually an issue to me, but the DeathStalker has a nice gap that seems just right. Its shape is pretty traditional as far as keyboards go, except the corners have been chopped off to create a weird oblong octagon as opposed to a rectangle. If you Iike thin keyboards, thé DS is definiteIy one at onIy 2.4 inches thick with the legs tucked away. If you Iike customizable RGB backIighting, youre going tó have to Iook elsewhere. The DeathStalker Expért only has 2 options to choose from, no backlight, or a Razer green backlight. If youre like me and you dont really care as long as its lit up, then you wont have an issue here. I generally prefer braided cable on any kind of electronics like a keyboard because its generally stronger than rubber. With that sáid, I havent éxperienced any issués with the cabIe yet, and thé rubber does séem relatively tough.
